KS Relief launches food aid distribution drive in Maidan Wardak

KABUL (AIP): The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has launched drive to distribute aid among 2000 hapless families in Miadan Wardak province.
The aid distribution was started in Maidan Shahar, capital of Wardak province, Sept. 28 and distributed food aid baskets among 1000 families on the first day.
Similarly, 500 food baskets will be distributed to 500 families in Chak and Narakh districts today,  and tomorrow (Friday).
Each basket contains six food items including 40 kg of wheat, 5 liters of oil, five kg of beans, five kg of rice, five kilos of sugar, and two kg of dates.
This assistance is being distributed under the leadership of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, with the technical cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the financial support of the KS relief.
A few months ago, the KSrelief launched a major project to distribute food baskets among 47,400 poor families. Two phases of the project have been completed, and the third and fourth phases began a few days ago and will continue in 14 provinces. Ends
