KS Relief provides 500 food bags to earthquake victims of Badakhshan

KABUL (AIP): The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KS Relief) donated 500 food bags to earthquake victims of Badakhshan province Monday.
The food bags were handed over to the representatives of natural disaster management ministry during a ceremony attended by the representatives of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KS Relief) and OIC.
The state ministry of natural disaster management will transport the 500 food bags to Badakhshan province to be distributed among the earthquake victims.
This aid is part of the food baskets distribution project launched by KS Relief in coordination with OIC in Afghanistan. The first phase of the project, in which 47,400 food baskets would be distributed among needy families in 25 provinces, was completed recently.
Two days ago, OIC ambassador to Kabul met State Minister for International Relations Maulvi Shamsuddin Haqyar and pledged to provide 500 food bags to the earthquake victims in Badakhshan.
He said that the OIC plan provide assistance to all the victims of natural disaster. Each food bag carries 40kg flour, 5 litre ghee, 5kg beans, 5kg rice, 5 kg sugar and two kg dates. Ends
