November 29, 2021
KABUL (AIP): The United Arab Emirates has barred former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani and several other officials from carrying out political activities, the Taliban claimed.
Ahmad Waseeq, deputy spokesman of Taliban government, tweeted late Sunday (Nov. 28) the UAE government has imposed ban on the political activities of Ashraf Ghan and several other officials of his government living in Dubai and other cities of the Arab Emirate.
The restrictions have also been imposed on other former Afghan officials besides Ashraf Ghani, Atta Mohammad Noor and Hamdullah Mohib.
UAE has not said anything formally in this regard.
The former president and several other senior officials of his government escaped to UAE after the fall of Kabul to Taliban in mid August this year. Ends
