KSrelief distributes aid to 800 earthquake-affected families in Balkh

MAZAR-E-SHARIF (AIP):  The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center of Saudi Arabia has begun distributing food assistance to 800 families affected by the recent earthquake in Balkh province. 
The aid distribution campaign will continue for three days in the provincial capital Mazar-e-Sharif and two districts.
The aid distribution officially started on Wednesday in Mazar-e-Sharif, carried out in coordination with the Afghan Red Crescent Society. 
The launch ceremony was attended by officials from the King Salman Relief Center, Afghan Red Crescent provincial head Mohammad Younus Masoumi, and local authorities.
According to Afghan Red Crescent officials, each family will receive flour, rice, sugar, beans, cooking oil, and a carton of dates.
Based on registration records, 300 families in Mazar-e-Sharif and 250 families each in Char Kent and Alborz districts will receive assistance during the three-day campaign.
The KSrelief has been active in humanitarian work in Afghanistan for several years, providing emergency aid during natural disasters and supporting affected communities.
 It previously distributed household items and tents to families in Balkh and Samangan and has also delivered assistance to thousands of families impacted by recent earthquakes in eastern Afghanistan. Ends
