KUNDUZ (AIP): Governor Baghlan Qari Bakhtiar Maaz opened a power substation in provincial Pul-e-Khumri Monday.
The electricity substation was constructed Pul-e-Khumri and formally inaugurated by Baghlan Governor Qari Bakhtiar Maaz and provincial director of Da Afghanistan Brekhna Shirkat (DABS) Mulla Sardar Wali Hamza.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the two officials said that more than 300 house of the Mohajirino and Logaro areas would be supplied electricity from the newly constructed substation.
They said that supplying electricity to every house is the responsibility of the government and they would continue their effort to electrify each and every house.
Mostly imported electricity is consumed in Baghlan and Kunduz. Baghlan also produces its own electricity but it not enough to fulfill the need. Ends
